Which ASN do O2 mobile IPs belong to?
These are the ranges O2 announces. A SIM on O2 normally exits through them, but a port's real exit can differ, for example on a roaming or wholesale SIM: look up the IP your port gives you in any IP database to confirm.

What is O2's network like in the United Kingdom?
O2 is the mobile side of Virgin Media O2. It reported 22.0 million mobile customers for the first quarter of 2026, a figure that includes giffgaff, which runs on O2's network. Its mobile addresses sit under AS35228; a second Telefónica UK number, AS29180, is announced too, but we found no mobile marker on it. In Opensignal's UK report of January 2026, O2 won the coverage experience award.
O2 added 5G standalone in 2024. Sky Mobile and Tesco Mobile also sell plans on O2's network, so O2 addresses are common in UK mobile traffic.

How do I check that my port is really on O2?
Send one request through the port to an IP echo service, then look the address up: the ASN is normally one of AS35228. Rotate once and repeat; the new address normally stays inside O2's ranges.
