Emulators fake the GPS. They do not fake the network. When an app or its backend reacts to the carrier, the country or the IP type, only a real carrier connection shows what a local user gets.
Quick answer
How do I test my app from another country on a real mobile carrier?
Route the test device or emulator through a dedicated 4G/5G port in the target country, so the app and its backend see a local carrier IP. CellMast rents such ports by the day, from $2.63/day, with carrier choice, subject to stock, unlimited data and rotation by API. No KYC — no ID, no selfie, no documents. Pay in crypto.
| What changes | The network: country, carrier, ASN, mobile IP type |
|---|---|
| What does not change | GPS, device locale, SIM country of your test phone |
| Best product | Dedicated port, rented for 1 day per test campaign |
| 1-day price | US/Canada $3.75 · UK $4.50 · Europe $4.50 · South & SE Asia $5.25 |
| Connection | HTTP, HTTPS (CONNECT) and SOCKS5 |
| Automation | Rotation and IP history through the API |
A proxy does not change the device. GPS, phone language and the SIM in your test device stay as they are; set those separately.
On an iPhone or iPad, set the Wi-Fi proxy to gw.cellmast.com port 7777 with the port's login; iOS accepts a username and password. On Android, the Wi-Fi proxy has no login field: Chrome asks for the password, but most apps cannot answer a proxy login, so use the emulator command below, where the emulator handles the login, or a proxy client app that stores it. The setup guide shows the screens. For automated suites, set the proxy in the test runner or the HTTP client.
emulator -avd Pixel_8_API_35 -http-proxy http://USERNAME:[email protected]:7777Rent one port per country, each for one day. It is simple, and the tests can run in parallel.
Inside one country, you can either rent one port per carrier you care about, for example T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon in the US, or ask support to move one port between carriers, subject to stock; the move keeps the rental time and gives new credentials.
One port for one day costs the 1-day price of its zone. Examples, as of October 2026: US or Canada $3.75, UK $4.50, Poland or Ireland $4.50, Japan, Korea or Australia $5.93, South and Southeast Asia $5.25, Latin America $9. Data is unlimited, so long video or download tests cost the same.

Your app's servers will see a local carrier IP, so anything that depends on the IP behaves as it does for a local user. The phone's GPS, language and SIM country do not change, so apps that read those will still see your real device settings. Set them separately in the emulator or test phone.
Usually not. Carrier billing ties a purchase to the SIM's subscription, which stays in CellMast's modem and is not available to you. A mobile proxy lets you check what a carrier user sees before that step, such as which payment options appear.
Pick what your users have. In markets where most users are on 4G, a 4G port gives realistic speeds and latency. 5G is useful for checking performance where 5G is common. 4G LTE or 5G, depending on the carrier's coverage where the modem sits.
The API covers orders, ports and rotation, so a pipeline can buy a one-day port, run tests through it and read its IP history. See the API documentation. Payment always comes from a crypto balance topped up in advance.
