Rotating mobile proxies: carrier IPs billed per GB

When you need many carrier IPs rather than one, a rotating pool is simpler than renting modems: each new connection can leave from a different 4G/5G address, and you pay only for the data you move.

How does a rotating mobile pool work?

You connect to one gateway address. For each new connection, or for each session you define, the gateway picks a carrier IP in the country you asked for and sends your traffic out through it. The username carries your settings:

  • USERNAME-country-us: a new US mobile IP on each new connection (HTTP clients reuse connections, so open a new one to change IP);
  • USERNAME-country-us-session-abc-ttl-15: the same IP for 15 minutes, as long as you reuse the session id abc.

No rotation call is needed: the pool rotates by itself.

Rotating and sticky requests
# a new mobile IP in Germany on each new connection (each curl call)
curl -x http://USERNAME-country-de:[email protected]:7777 https://api.ipify.org

# the same IP for 15 minutes (session id "cart7")
curl -x http://USERNAME-country-de-session-cart7-ttl-15:[email protected]:7777 https://api.ipify.org

Rotating pool or dedicated port?

Choose the rotating pool for many short, independent requests: price and stock checks, mobile search sampling, ad checks across many IPs. You pay for data, so light pages cost very little.

Choose a dedicated port for a stable identity: one carrier, one IP that changes only when you say, unlimited data. Logged-in accounts and long sessions belong on a port, not in a pool.

How much data does a task use?

A rough guide, to size a plan:

  • a headers-only redirect check: a few kilobytes;
  • a mobile web page with images: often 1 to 5 MB;
  • a search results page: well under 1 MB;
  • a minute of video: tens of megabytes.

At $1.50/GB on the 10 GB plan, a few thousand page checks fit in one plan. For video-heavy work, a dedicated port, with unlimited data is cheaper.

Does rotating mobile traffic expire?

Prepaid rotating-mobile traffic never expires: unused GB stay on your account until you use them. Many providers sell per-GB traffic as a monthly subscription that resets or expires; at CellMast a plan stays on the account until you use it. That suits irregular jobs, such as a weekly ad check or a monthly price survey.

Rotating mobile proxies: questions

How much do rotating mobile proxies cost per GB at CellMast?

At CellMast, rotating mobile data costs $1.50 for 1 GB, with the same price per GB up to 100 GB, as of October 2026: 25% below DataImpulse's $2/GB (checked 2026-10-13). Other providers' per-GB prices, with sources and check dates, are in our mobile proxy price index.

Can I keep the same IP on the rotating pool for a while?

Yes, for a while. Add session-<id>-ttl-<minutes> to the username: requests with the same session id keep one IP for the time you set (ttl, in minutes), up to 30 minutes; the IP can change earlier. For an IP you control for days, rent a dedicated port.

Can I choose the carrier on the rotating pool?

No. The pool is targeted by country, and the carrier varies between IPs. To pick a carrier, such as T-Mobile or EE, rent a dedicated port.

Is there a minimum purchase?

The smallest plan is 1 GB for $1.50, paid from a crypto balance with a $25 minimum top-up. The rest of the balance stays on your account and never expires, and it can pay for more data or for a dedicated port.

Which protocols work with the rotating pool?

HTTP, HTTPS (CONNECT) and SOCKS5. Use port 7777 for HTTP and 7778 for SOCKS5 on gw.cellmast.com. The Python guide has examples for requests and httpx.
